GSA: ARCHITECTURAL & ACCESSIBILITY EVALUATIONS

In Partnership with procon

Rhode Island; Massachusetts | 2025

Our Role: Architectural and Accessibility Assessors
Project Owner: General Services Administration (GSA)

HUSARCH assessed 1.5 million square feet of US Federal office buildings along the East Coast – including offices for HUD, the GSA, and Social Security – delivering three Building Evaluation Reports (BER). Through our technical expertise in accessibility and breadth of assessment experience, we utilize the BER to hold the GSA to the highest code standards.

In collaboration with MEP, Structural, Civil, Fire/Safety, and cost-estimating teams, we produce detailed order-of-magnitude cost analyses for each of the three properties evaluated. HUSARCH is responsible for correcting non-compliance issues, recommend updates to safety and accessibility features, and address efficiency concerns through the architectural lens. The final BER allocates these funds appropriately to advocate for necessary building improvements that impact the efficiency and function of our federal structures and ensures these spaces are accessible to all.
