Project Owner: Chicago Public Schools (CPS)
Since 2019, the HUSARCH team has served as project managers on the Chicago Public Schools Biennial Facility Condition Assessments under Bureau Veritas North America leadership. We’ve provided continuous team leads, building exterior assessors, interiors assessors, and accessibility accessors to evaluate current conditions of the entire Chicago Public School building stock which includes 700 school buildings and over 70 million square feet.
As part of our accessibility evaluation, we measure slopes and tolerances within the accessible routes from building drop offs to school entrances; we measure clearances of the interior accessible routes; we verify accessible restroom clearances, ramps, parking, and accessibility to building assembly and specialty spaces. Our work concludes with detailed reports and itemized deficiencies for future CPS improvements.
