Our Role: Facility Assessors
Project Owner: Chicago Housing Authority (CHA)
HUSARCH serves as the lead facility assessors for the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) conducting 450 Property Needs Assessments (PNA) across CHA’s residential portfolio. We provide dedicated assessors for a high volume of work to evaluate the condition of various interior architectural elements, including the entire interior square footage. Each unit is thoroughly inspected and rated using the Direct Condition Rating (DCR) system, where we provide detailed comments and recommend necessary repairs to enhance the safety and functionality of the residential units. We create a comprehensive snapshot of the property’s current condition.
HUSARCH performs on-site assessments and detailed off-site reporting to support CHA’s budgeting process, helping them prioritize emergency repairs and improve the overall health of their housing units. Upon project completion, we will deliver a full PNA report, complete with cost analysis, allowing CHA to make informed decisions for future capital improvements. This project spans the CHA’s properties on Chicago’s west side, including a mix of houses and two-flats, ensuring each residence meets high standards for livability.
