Partner Spotlight: Elena Dayamba Advisory
Helping small businesses thrive through sustainable solutions
At HUSARCH we are always looking for ways to highlight people and organizations doing meaningful, community-centered work in sustainability and energy. The most impactful progress we’ve seen has come from genuine collaboration, from sharing knowledge, strengthening each other, and lifting up the leaders who are helping businesses and communities achieve more sustainable implementation.
That’s why we’re excited to launch our new spotlight series with someone whose work aligns beautifully with the kind of change we believe in. Meet Elena Dayamba: founder of Elena Dayamba Advisory, an ally in the movement toward increasing access to sustainable practices for small businesses.
Who is Elena
Elena launched her advisory firm in early 2025, bringing more than a decade of sustainability experience rooted in economics, responsible investment, and an MBA with an environmental emphasis. She works in a unique and much needed space between business strategy and sustainability, helping small and medium businesses make decisions that are environmentally sound, socially responsible, and economically smart.
Her clients are typically businesses under $5 million in revenue. This sector of business is the backbone of our communities, making up approximately 90% of supply chains. However, they often lack support when it comes to understanding how sustainability can strengthen performance instead of draining resources. Elena’s work directly addresses that gap.
What is Elena Building
Laundromat switches to tankless water heaters to reduce gas consumption.
One of the clearest examples from our conversation was a laundromat owner facing high gas, water, and electric bills - costs that had become just part of the business. Elena helped the owner reimagine those expenses.
By switching to tankless water heaters, the business reduced gas consumption significantly. Elena also guided the owner through financing options so the monthly loan payments matched or were lower than the utility savings. What seemed like an intimidating investment became a financially sound decision with immediate impact.
This is the heart of what Elena does: helping business owners see they aren’t stuck to stagnant business models impending profits, and that sustainability upgrades don’t have to break the bank.
Her advisory work empowers owners through clear analysis, negotiation strategies, and long-term planning.
Why her work matters to HUSARCH
Elena’s approach aligns closely with how we think about sustainability at HUSARCH. We view sustainability as a set of practical tools that improve performance, comfort, and resilience - not just an abstract ideal.
Because small and medium businesses make up such a large part of supply chains, their collective climate impact, energy use, and resource consumption matters. Supporting them isn’t just good practice, it makes a meaningful positive impact toward improving our climate situation.
Elena’s emphasis on cost savings, operational improvements, and long-term planning fits naturally with our focus on building performance, energy efficiency and sustainable solutions.
Ideas for HUSACH / EDA Partnerships
Our discussion uncovered a decent amount of overlap in our mission and services as well as ways we complement each other.
Elena’s clients, like ours, often run into questions about building systems, mechanical equipment lifespan, and energy loads - areas where we are eager to collaborate. However, Elena approaches these issues through a financial lens, assessing how the company is spending money; while at HUSARCH we support through the technical assessment of a company’s facilities. That’s where our ASHRAE studies, envelope analysis, and deeper building-level assessments come in.
Pairing her financial and business-performance expertise with our technical insight gives clients a more complete path forward. Together, we can help small businesses understand both the technical need and make the financial case for more sustainable and efficient solutions.
We also share a commitment to communicating energy and sustainability in ways people can actually understand - whether that’s through greenhouse gas metrics, utility comparisons, or energy literacy efforts.
Celebrating Elena!
What stands out most about Elena is her blend of practicality and optimism. She understands the pressures facing small businesses, but she also sees real opportunity, especially when sustainability is framed as a path to resilience and cost savings.
She helps owners imagine what’s possible, and then backs that vision with solid analysis, support, and clear financial planning. Her work is grounded, empowering, and deeply community oriented.
Looking Ahead
Partnerships like this help reinforce why we do the work we do. Supporting small businesses, uplifting aligned partners, and sharing resources across our network strengthens our collective impact.
We’re grateful for Elena’s clarity, expertise, and drive. We’re excited to continue collaborating in ways that help businesses become more sustainable, efficient, and financially empowered.
